People Generalist – Veho Group | Finland

Are you a People and Culture professional who likes structure, routines and getting things done properly?
We’re looking for an experienced People Generalist to take care of day-to-day people operations for Veho Group functions. This is a hands-on, operational role with a lot of independence — ideal for someone who enjoys owning their work and keeping HR basics running smoothly.
This is not a junior role. You’ll be trusted to work independently and handle matters end-to-end.
What the role is really about
You’ll be the first point of contact for managers in Group functions and for Group employees in Finland. Your work covers the full employee lifecycle and includes a fair amount of recurring routines — and yes, you need to enjoy that. Work doesn’t end by doing it, so you need to know how to set priorities and how to say no without losing the serving attitude.
Your work includes:
Handling everyday HR matters: onboarding, contract changes, absences, performance discussions, disciplinary cases and exits
Running recruitment processes from intake to onboarding
Supporting managers in performance and people-related situations
Making sure HR documentation, systems and processes are accurate and compliant
Coordinating mandatory trainings and supporting learning initiatives
Supporting managers through role or organizational changes in a practical way
You’ll work independently, but not alone — you’re part of the Group People & Culture team and work closely with managers across Veho countries.
Who this role suits
This role is a good fit if you:
Have several years of experience in an operational HR Generalist or similar role
Enjoy routines, structure and follow-through
Are comfortable handling HR cases independently
Know Finnish labor law and how it applies in everyday work
Like working close to managers and employees
Prefer doing over theorizing
Have experience working with colleagues outside Finland, and use English fluently in your daily job
Know your systems, Excel especially
